Our inventory survey, designed to measure the demand for OCTG, encompasses the entire supply chain. This production involves a cast of characters who count pipe at truck terminals, mills, processors and inspection yards across the lower 48 every quarter.

While this quarter wasn’t a blockbuster, it wasn’t a bust either. You’ll find all the details in the “coming attractions” in the way of charts, tables and commentary in this month’s market intelligence.

A close-up look at the leading indicators of OCTG demand signal a mostly positive outlook for the remainder of the year provided there’s no unforeseen economic upsets and imports don’t upset the pipe cart.

So as the credits roll and the screen fades to black on our Q1 inventory survey, our analysis and conclusion is that this most recent quarter has a mostly happy ending. And that friends, is a wrap!
